Golden Globe Winners

Johnny Depp, Daniel Day Lewis and Cate Blanchett all take awards

The Golden Globes were announced last night but without the glitzy ceremony, due to the US writers strike.

Brits did well with Atonement- which has a UK director and largely British cast- picking up Best Film (Drama).

Gore-fest Sweeney Todd- set in London and featuring Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman in the cast- won Best Film (Musical or comedy).

Stud Johnny Depp also won Best Actor (Musical or comedy) while Daniel Day Lewis was given Best Actor (Drama) for his part in There Will Be Blood.
