SiCo Orders US Stylists To Give Cheryl A Make-Over

Cowell was less than impressed with Chezza's purple flares & big hair...

Simon Cowell is said to be so unimpressed with Cheryl Cole's style at The X Factor USA auditions, that he has called in Hollywood stylists to give the star an American make-over.

The Girls Aloud beauty caused a stir last week after making her X Factor USA debut in Los Angeles, wearing a bright orange top teamed with purple flares and huge hair.

Cowell recently mocked Cheryl's bouffant-hair style, telling The Sun: "I wasn't really taken by her hair. It was the equivalent of putting on five gallons of hairspray then standing in the middle of a hurricane."

Cheryl has since rid herself of the Dynasty style hair-do, and instead opted for a sleek ponytail and low-cut white dress, revealing her cleavage at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Obviously Cheryl is a gorgeous woman, but she turned up to the first day’s filming of The X Factor looking a bit weird in purple flares."

They continued: "Everyone was talking about how she looked – but for all the wrong reasons. The level of glamour expected by American audiences is much higher. Here, women in television are groomed to within an inch of their lives."

Simon is rumoured to have ordered a team of LA stylists to work their magic on Cheryl, to help the 27-year old put together a stunning new wardrobe for the live shows in September - with Cole even sacking her British team before moving Stateside.

The insider revealed: "She has sacked most of her UK team; her stylist and her manicurist, who was the closest person to her. She wants a total change of image for America. She has sacked her make-up girl as well. She did it very quietly."

As for her new US look, a Los Angeles source claimed: "It is important that Cheryl gets on well with whoever is put in charge of crafting her image here so we’ve been told to make discreet inquiries around town and when she gets back into LA she will take meetings with several stylists and then she can make the decision who she would like to work with.

They added: "She is a gorgeous woman but she needs to get the old-style Hollywood sophistication and glamour thing going and purple pants just don’t cut it. She needs to walk out every night on The X Factor and have viewers’ jaws hitting the floor."
