SPOILER ALERT: You may prefer not to read this story if you are following The X Factor USA on British television.
Four unlucky acts have been sent home from The X Factor USA in the first week of the live shows.
The show's judges each had to select two of their acts to proceed to the next week in safety, with the remaining pair competing in a sing-off and the judge then having to decide which one to axe.
LA Reid put Vino Alan and Tate Stevens through for his Over 25s, so Jason Brock and David Correy faced each other in the first sing-off of the series.
Brock's take on One Moment in Time was judged by Reid to be superior to Correy's take on Kelly Clarkson's Since U Been Gone - meaning that Correy got the boot.
Demi Lovato sent Paige Thomas and Jennel Garcia through automatically for the Young Adults, with CeCe Frey performing Out Here On My Own in the sing-off against Willie Jones doing You Don't Know Me.
Lovato saved Frey, meaning that Jones went home.
Britney Spears put Carly Rose Sonenclar and Beatrice Miller through for the Teens, so Arin Ray and Diamond White went into the sing-off.
Ray performed Whitney Houston's I Look To You, with White singing Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word - and Spears apologised profusely as she sent White home
Head judge Simon Cowell put Emblem3 and Lyric 145 straight through to the next show, meaning that Sister C and 1432 were forced to sing for their supper - and they chose Miley Cyrus' When I Look At You and Demi Lovato's Skyscraper respectively.
SiCo decided to put 1432 through - but claimed he'd "made a mistake" with the name and invited viewers to submit new ideas for the act, who had previously been called LYLAS.
We told you yesterday how Britney had been remarkably positive in her first live show.
