Jade Ellis has become the latest act to leave The X Factor this year after finding herself in the sing-off against Union J.
The 25-year-old single mum gave an impressive rendition of Dido's White Flag, but the judges voted three-to-one to keep boy band Union J in the contest.
Jade's rendition of the Sugababes Freak Like Me had divided the judges on Saturday evening - and must have failed to impress viewers, because she ended up in the bottom two.
After the sing-off, her mentor Tulisa said: "This is easy for me, that's my girl up there and she sang her heart out tonight."
But the other three judges all voted to save Union J instead.
Gary Barlow told Jade: "Jade, you're a phenomenal singer, you're incredible. But sometimes I worry I want this for you more than you do."
And he then addressed Union J: "Guys, I have been tough on you because I'm a band member myself. It's been good, but it's not been exceptional.
"I can see the commitment, I can see the ambition in your eyes. I'm excited to see what's next from you."
Nicole Scherzinger said that even though Jade had her "favourite voice" in the contest, she was going with the boys because she could see how hard they had been working.
Louis Walsh appeared to be fighting back tears as he told show host Dermot O'Leary: "Dermot, I'm the mentor for Union J, I love them and don't want to lose them so I have to send Jade home."
MK1 got the boot from the contest last week.
