Lucy Spraggan is reported to be on the verge of leaving The X Factor without even performing again.
The singer-songwriter missed last week's show due to ill health, and The Sun now claims that show bosses will decide today whether she is well enough to perform tomorrow.
And the paper also reports that her friend Rylan Clark as saying that Lucy is on the point of giving up anyway.
He said: "Her health comes first and the show comes second at the moment."
Lucy was reported to have flu last week and was scheduled to practice her rendition of Rihanna's Umbrella on Wednesday, but apparently pulled out because she was exhausted.
A source told the paper: "It's completely up to her when she wants to come back to the show and there is no pressure from the producers or anyone else."
In other X Factor news, a claim by Sinitta that Simon Cowell is planning to pull the plug on the show after next year has been denied.
Sinitta, a close friend of SiCo's, had told Closer magazine: "I'm told next year is going to be the last. It'll have been ten years."
But The Sun quoted a source on the show as saying: "There are no plans for it to end. It is one of the most successful shows in Britain."
