In the biggest surprise of the series so far, The X Factor favourite Ella Henderson has become the latest act to leave this year's show.
Despite both getting rave reviews week after week, soulful 16-year-old Ella faced guitar-playing James Arthur in the sing-off after failing to get enough public votes to see them through to next week.
After two incredible performances - James singing Alicia Keys' Falling and Ella giving an emotional rendition of Daniel Beddingfield's hit If You're Not The One - it came down to the judges to make the toughest decision of the series.
So it was deadlock again - and it was Ella who received the fewest public votes.
Unbelievably gracious given her age, the 16-year-old described the talent on the show as "incredible" and said all the acts deserved to be in the final.
She told host Dermot: "I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for this show... I've loved every minute and I've grown so much as a person."
Meanwhile, the series favourites continue to receive gushing comments from the judges.
Both Ella and James had bowled the judges over on Saturday night's (17 November) guilty pleasures-themed show, but Jahmene also emerged as a favourite with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' Don't Leave Me This Way.
Elsewhere, Union J bounced back from last week's boyband sing-off, and Christopher Maloney continues to win votes from the public.
And after a Bros/Duran Duran mash-up of When Will I Be Famous and Girls On Film, Rylan Clark continued his banter with Gary Barlow.
When it emerged that he once appeared in a Take That tribute band, Gaz asked which member he was supposed to be.
Rylan's cheeky reply was: "It definitely weren't you. I'm too skinny for that, G!"
Only five acts remain in the competition - the question is, who will make it to the final?
