Tinchy Stryder has revealed Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah is ‘recovering’ after being admitted to a clinic for nervous exhaustion.
The pintsized rapper, who teamed up with the Get Sexy star on the number one single Never Leave You has reportedly been in contact with Amelle since she was admitted to the clinic in Europe two weeks ago.
Tinchy told Digital Spy: "I spoke to her not long ago and she's alright, she's recovering. She just needs some time to chill out after everything that's happened,"
22 year-old Stryder claimed he never knew of any problems surrounding Amelle or the axing of founder member
Keisha Buchanan last month.
He said: "I was away on holiday and got confused over who really left. At first they were saying it was Amelle,"
The You’re Not Alone rapper added: "The last time I saw them together it was all good. We were out celebrating 'Never Leave You' making No.1 and Keisha came along, so it must have been a problem in-house."
When asked about the Sugababes future, the Stryderman stated: “They've changed a few times before, so I think they'll do good."
Tinchy also offered his views on
X Factor judge
Cheryl Cole’s chart success claiming he was not surprised when
Fight For This Love became the fastest selling single of 2009 so far.
He also told the celebrity website: "I'm actually not surprised, if I'm to be honest. It's a good song and she's really popular right now…”
“
The X Factor is a really powerful show and to be on there and perform, well you can't go wrong with that. It's just how the world works now. I met her before and she's cool so I'm really happy for her."
The rapper, whose new single could knock Chezza from the top spot on Sunday also revealed how he would love to perform on the talent show.
He said: "If I was invited to perform I'd love to - when you see what it can do!"
