Transformers Sequel Tops US Box Office

Revenge of the Fallen takes $200 million…

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has gone to number one on the US Box Office chart taking a massive $201.2 million in just 5 days.

That’s just short of The Dark Knight’s record of $203.8m set last year. The Transformers sequel- which stars Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox- is already top of the UK chart despite receiving mixed reviews.

The movie now looks set to be the highest grossing film of the year unless Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince- released next month- can outdo it.

Transformers 2 has also done good business around the world taking $162 million outside for the US in its first weekend.
