R Pattz Gets Dating Advice From Dad

And the star says he’d fight for love…

Twilight hearthrob Robert Pattinson has said he gets advice on women from his dad.

The star is currently on the promo trail for the latest vampire movie from the saga Eclipse.

And despite having women falling at his feet, and an alleged girlfriend in Kristen Stewart, the star says he still needs encouragement from Pattz senior.

Rob explained to Access Hollywood: “I thought it was so sweet … He’s like, ‘Dear Rob, I’ve been thinking about gestures and a good one in my opinion is to kiss a lady’s hand. It’s very romantic and refined'.

“‘Offer her hand ostensibly to kiss … Shake and then the kiss. I impressed your mother that way.’”

In another interview the star said he would ‘probably’ fight for love like his character Edward Cullen. He said: “Probably. But I don't know if it was about love. It's just more about pride.”

He added: "If you are the one with the girl in the first place, I guess maybe you're forced into fighting a little bit.

“However, I would never be in Jacob's position, because then you just end up being the guy who broke up a couple anyway.”
