Robert Pattinson has said he uses coloured contact lenses to get into his Twilight character.

The star has piercing green eyes when he plays vampire Edward Cullen, and the actor says that’s the key to his success.

R Pattz explained: “My contact lenses transform me, They make me miserable. They create the pouting and brooding character.”

And according to reports the heartthrob may have real reason to be miserable this week.

It’s claimed Rob has now split from girlfriend/ co-star Kristen Stewart after he apparently decided to end it.

The pair had never confirmed that they were in a relationship in the first place but there have been long running rumours about them.

K-Stew herself also said earlier this week that making the Twilight films is “killing her.”
