Vampire Weekend Drummer Hurt

Hes hit by a car after last nights NME Awards and is taken to hospital

Vampire Weekend drummer Chris Thompson was hit by a car last night after the NME Awards.

The New Yorker was taken to hospital after the incident outside the Hoxton Hotel in East London but is expected to be released later today.

Thompson was treated at the Royal London Hospital for head and neck injuries in the early hours of this morning.

It's alleged that the driver of the car that hit the Vampire Weekend member did not stop.
