Katy Perry Spotted Kissing Russell Brand?

Katy Perry reportedly hooked up with VMA host Russell Brand after the star studded event on Sunday night.

Perry, who introduced Russell on stage at the ceremony with her rendition of the Queen classic We Will Rock You was spotted canoodling with the host after the show.

However, the I Kissed A Girl Singer is said to be dating Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy and even set tongues wagging about a supposed engagement to the rapper after recently being spotted wearing a ring.

However, it now appears that comedian Brand has had his wicked way with Katy after joking at the award ceremony that he was going to be her shoulder to cry on after she walked away empty handed from the show.

Russell also hinted that he had his eye on the singer after he heard she was staying at the same hotel as him in the Big Apple.

The pair were reportedly caught kissing at trendy New York night spot Avenue after the ceremony finished.

A source told the New York Post: "They were sitting together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close,”

They added: “Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn't look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself."

Russell, who hosted the event for the second year running despite being known for his controversy had earlier suggested that he was hoping to get closer to Lady Gaga on the night.

However, the Poker Face star and her interesting choice of outfits arrived with a certain Kermit The Frog as her escort to the ceremony.
