Duffy, Estelle, Lily Allen, Hot Chip, U2 and Paul McCartney have all contributed to a new War Child charity album- due out next month.

Also featuring on the disc are Elbow, Beck, Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand and TV On The Radio.

The album- called Heroes- will be released on February 16 and has seen legends pick one of their classic songs for a newer group to cover.

Estelle has covered Stevie Wonders Superstition, Duffy has reworked Maccas classic Live And Let Die.

Mercury winners Elbow have covered U2s Running To Stand Still and Lily Allen has recorded The Clash's classic Straight To Hell.

Indie favourites TV On The Radio will contribute a cover of David Bowies Heroes while Hot chip do Joy Divisions Transmission.

At MTV we love a good cover version so cant wait to hear who sounds best on the War Child album.
