Love rat footballer Wayne Rooney has reportedly expressed his shame over the allegations that he cheated on his wife Coleen with a prostitute.

According to The Mirror, Roon has 'vowed to do anything' to save his relationship with Coleen, and has even offered to put his career on hold to 'win back' the mother of his child.

Wayne is said to have told a friend: “I’m desperate to get her back. I will do anything to get her back. I realise what a fool I’ve been and how much hurt I’ve caused her."

He added: “I will do anything, anything, to convince her that I am truly sorry.”

Coleen, who was spotted with 10-month old son Kai yesterday still wearing her wedding ring, is allegedly 'angry and confused' over the claims that her childhood sweetheart was unfaithful to her during a four month fling with hooker Jenny Thompson.

The Manchester United player reportedly told Coleen about the affair in a text message, after finding out news of his infidelity was to hit the press.

The Mirror claims that the 24-year old style icon told pals: “I’m angry confused and cannot believe I did not know that this was going on right underneath my nose.”

“I’m baffled as to how he could have got away with it. I had no idea until I got that text message that anything was wrong at all."

Wayne is also said to be missing his son Kai after telling his friend: "I’m missing my boy so much. I have not been able to think of anything else.”

Reports suggest that the couple may take a holiday with Kai to have 'crisis talks' away from the public eye, with the footballer apparently claiming that he 'will do anything it takes' to get Coleen back.
