Whitney Houston has been forced to postpone her European leg of her comeback world tour on doctors orders.

The Million Dollar Bill star is said to be suffering from an 'upper respiratory ailment' and has been advised by her GP to hold off on the gigs, which were due to start in Paris today.

A representative for the singer stated: "Whitney Houston deeply regrets having been forced to postpone the show…"

The tour will now start in Manchester on Thursday where Houston will play new tracks from comeback LP I Look To You as well as some old favourites.

Houston also revealed this week that she wants to work with Will.I.Am on her next album.

It is thought Whitney wants to work with the Black Eyed Peas frontman after his recent chart success - especially with Cheryl Cole's 3 Words to which he produced most of the tracks.

The Nothin But Love singer told The Daily Mirror: "Of any current stars that are around right now, I would love to work with Will.i.am. He is always at the top of my list."
