Wyclef Jean is reportedly considering whether to run for president of his native Haiti.
The Haitian-born rapper, who endlessly appealed to raise money and aid for the earth quake ravaged nation is said to be deciding whether to seek a five-year term as the country's leader.
There have been endless rumours that the former The Fugees star would enter this year's Haiti presidential race following his appointment as ambassador-at-large for the Caribbean nation back in 2007 by President Rene Preval, who cannot seek re-election.
Wyclef's family have since issued a statement claiming: "Wyclef's commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward…"
They concluded: "If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately."
