Just when we thought now was our chance to try and blag a date with Niall Horan, it looks like he may already be spoken for in the romance department.

It turns out that the This Town singer and Neighbours actress Olympia Valance have grown “close” recently, as the Aussie babe revealed all in The Sun earlier this week.

“We’ve known each other for a couple of years now. He obviously spends a lot of time in Australia with his cousins,” she began.

“We just met in Australia and we’ve been messaging ever since and yeah we have hung out together a bit.We are quite close. I see him when I come to London and he sees me when he’s in Oz.”

It was no secret prior to this revelation that they were friends, what with her posting quite the cute pic of them together for his birthday, but we had no idea it was anything more than that?!

Though despite her really quite telling comments, Olympia insists that she is actually single.

“I am single at the moment. I've been single pretty much all this year and it's been really nice.I've always had problems being on my own before and now I'm actually like, I really love this and just not having anyone to answer to.

“Just being free is great and that's what I really want to be - just being a free spirit.”

Okay fine, we’ll hold off on buying a hat for the wedding.
