Just when we thought there was absolutely zero communication between Niall Horan and Zayn Malik at the AMAs last night, video evidence has arrived proving quite the opposite.

You see ever since Zayn left One Directionthings have been a little icy between the group, but it would seem Niall wasn't going to let that stop him from being the bigger man when he walked past him last night.

THEY. SHOOK. HANDS.

Now having watched this with an actual magnifying glass, it would seem Zayn was all for ignoring Niall as he didn't even clock him, that was until Niall bent down and shook his hand for approximately two nanoseconds.

Chatting to ET Online recently about possibly bumping into his ex-band member at the show, Niall said: "I haven't spoken to him for a few months or whatever, so I'm looking forward to seeing him, yeah."

We just can't believe that two people who have so much history together can have such an awkward social interaction.
