Niall Horan recently graced our ears with his debut solo single 'This Town' and we cried lots of happy tears.

Thankfully, the One Direction lad has been hard at work writing new material so he can start recording his album very, very soon.

In a handwritten message to fans which wassent out via his email newsletter, he revealed: "I'm doing the final bits of writing over the next couple of weeks and and then it's time to record the album. Can't wait to share the album with you all."

We're getting butterflies at the thought of hearing a whole album filledNiall's dreamy voice. We wonder if any of the 1D boys will feature on it...

The 23-year-old alsothanked fansfor all the lovely support he'dreceived recently: "Thank you for your incredible reaction to my first solo song. I'm simply blown away by the love This Town is getting. You never fail to surprise me with your passion and support."

"I'm doing my first TV performance this week on Graham Norton which is really nerve-wracking and exciting all at the same time. I'll be doing other TV shows over the coming weeks too, so listen out for news on that", he added.
