Niall Horan Debuts Country Duet With Maren Morris
The 'Slow Hands' singer premiered songs from his debut album yesterday...
Niall Horan is putting his cowboy hat on!
Pop’s favourite Irishman debuted a handful of new songs at a label conference yesterday, one of which is a surprising duet with a major country star.
Variety report that Horan dives into the country genre with U.S. starlet Maren Morris on ‘Seeing Blind’, the stand-out track from the few that were played.
The collaboration came around when Niall decided the song was missing something and dropped the ‘Craving’ singer an email to ask if she fancied singing on it, and obviously she said yes. Who could resist?
The One Direction star’s second single ‘Slow Hands’ has been the unofficial song of the summer with its folk-pop charm and sing-along chorus, so ‘Seeing Blind’ sounds like the perfect follow-up.
“The song, which could easily find its way to formats outside of pop, has the acoustic base that Horan has made his trademark, along with an infectious chorus accentuated by Morris’ vocals,” Variety have said.
We’re getting ‘Broken Strings’ or ‘Need You Now’ vibes… and that’s more than okay with us!
Considering that ‘Slow Hands’ was released over four months ago, we should hopefully hear this one soon…
