Niall has opened up about how certain rituals impact his life

Niall Horan has been chatting about his mental health, revealing that he suffers from OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder.

The 24 year old former One Direction singer sat down for a conversation with German magazine ZEIT LEO, and he revealed just how the condition affects his every day life and the sort of rituals he acts out.

“I have mild obsessive compulsive disorder, that’s what doctors call it. That is, I feel like I have to do things in a certain way,” he began.

“For example, if I have a burger with chips on my plate, I always have to eat the chips first and only pick up the burger at the very end.”

OCD also impacts Niall’s professional life, and he told the magazine how the conditioncan make his live performances "fixed" in a certain way.

“I have one fixed sequence. I always have to sing in the same order, move and so on. I’ll basically do everything immediately, otherwise I’ll get nervous quickly,” he said.

But Niall isn't letting his diagnosis get him down: “I live with themand they’re mine no matter what others think about it. I’m just like - what the hell! Fortunately, I now have enough people around me who understand me,” he said.

We couldn’t be more proud of Niall’s openess and hisattitude towards his mental health.
