Niall Horan Thinks It Would Be 'A Bit Weird' To Have A One Direction Reunion Rn
*Extends hiatus countdown*
If you've been counting down the days until One Direction's supposed hiatus comes to an end then you might be slightly disheartened to hear that a decision to reform isn't actually going to happen overnight.
While the group has initially maintained that the break would last no longer than a year, the end date has become slightly more woolly as the months have passed and solo careers have taken off.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, Niall has now poured cold water on the concept of the band reassembling before getting a decent chance to properly explore their solo options.
"I suppose right now, it would be a bit weird," he explained, before hinting that there's still room for a bit of manouevere when it comes to timings: "Can't rule anything out really, can you?"
Even though there's still a long while to go until the band eventually re-group, Niall has always maintained that he'd drop whatever was he doing to put the band first and would ideally like to reform at some point in the "next few years."
Ah, the sweet sound of renewed hope.
