Singles
Nicki Minaj – Bed (Ft. Ariana Grande)
Nicki Minaj has been on fire lately in the run up to her next album Queen, and this a dreamy banger is no exception. Nicki and Ariana complement each other perfectly, we can’t get enough of it.
Troye Sivan – Dance To This (Ft. Ariana Grande)
OH. MY. DAYS. Well I guess we’re doing slow jams now then – and frankly we LOVE it. We CAN so dance to this.. maybe even a slow dance. Troye x Ariana is something we’ve always ALWAYS needed.
Mura Masa & Octavian – ‘Move Me’
Those Mura Masa bop vibes you’re used to with London rapper Octavian blending afropop, dancehall, grime and hip-hop vibes all in one. “It’s a bop” summarises it perfectly, we can’t stop dancing to it
GoldLink & Miguel – ‘Got Friends’
Goldlink can just flow for days, and Miguel is so smooth – and having them doing so together on one track is such a TREAT.
Rudimental & Major Lazer – ‘Let Me Live’ (Ft. Anne-Marie & Mr Eazi)
Rudimental and Major Lazer are such a formidable combo, and on this track they’ve come together to make something that’s just so fun. It’s such a playful track that spans several genres and is oh so danceable.
Martin Garrix Ft. Khalid – ‘Ocean’
MORE downbeat melancholic jams!
Chaka Khan – ‘Like Sugar’
CHAKA KHAN! The Queen of funk is back with a new produced by Major Lazer founder Switch. Chaka Khan! It’s so funky! We can’t get over this one.
Cigarettes After Sex – ‘Crush’
This track lives up to the standard we’ve come to expect from Cigarettes After Sex. It’s dreamy and ethereal, it’s delicate and deliberate.
David Guetta & Showtek – ‘Your Love’
OOOOH this is one of those bangers. It’s so in your face, it demands confetti canons and smoke machines. It doesn’t hold back at all, it’s such a high energy track – I’m calling it now it will be a quintessential club anthem.
Nao - 'Another Lifetime'
This one just BANGS.
IAMDDB – ‘Drippy’
A real trap-y track from the ‘Shade’ artist today, it’s fierce AF. “I’m drippin”, enough said. Honestly though this one goes in, and the latter half breakdown has that R&B smooth flavour that juxtaposes with the first half so well.
The Vamps – Just My Type
Pop rockers the vamps are baaaaack with a brand new catchy bop!
Tom Odell – ‘If You Wanna Love Somebody’
This track is really sweetly upbeat and with its building choral layers it’s so earnestly hopeful.
Lil Halima – ‘Train’
This up-and-coming 19-year old Norwegian artist, Lil Halima, has vibes reminiscent of FKA Twigs, Jorja Smith and Erykah Badu – but with her own playful nature injected into it. Really really worth checking her out – she’s developed such a unique aesthetic for someone so young.
Sigma – ‘Anywhere’
Tropical summer banger season is BACK! It’s bubbly, sunshine and something of a pop anthem. I can almost see the montage of people jumping into pools and drinking on beaches already.
Steel Banglez – ‘Your Lovin’ (Ft. Yxng Bane and MØ)
British rapper Steel Banglez has recruited MØ and Yxng Bane for this new bop. This track is like J Hus meets Jack Ü, it’s rather infectiously fun and catchy.
Alessia Cara – ‘Growing Pains’
Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara returns with the first single off of her not-yet-titled Sophomore album.
Slaves – Cut and Run
Slaves are back at it again with their brand of British bluesy garage punk. It’s brash, loud, fun and everything you’ve come to expect.
Albums
5 Seconds of Summer - Youngblood
Spotify - Web Player
After a 2 year break, the Australian rock band who had a meteoric rise to fame whilst still teenagers, have returned. It’s sonically very grand, filled with anthems, but all the meanwhile has a personal and intimate touch to the lyricism. They’ve definitely grown in the time they’ve been away, make sure to check it out.
SOPHIE – Oil Of Every Peal’s Un-Insides
SOPHIE manages to take pop and less commercial electronic music, smush them together, and create something that’s mind-blowingly unique. Just listen to the project, it’s so tactile and visceral, and she isn’t at all afraid to jump from an ethereal closed-eyes vibe to brain melting sounds. Don’t sleep on this one.
DNCE - People To People
The American pop group dropped a surprise new EP today. It’s groovy, and light-hearted – really fun pop, check it out.
Jay Rock – Redemption
You’ve heard ‘King’s Dead’, you’ve heard ‘The Bloodiest’ – this new Jay Rock album bangs. With features from J. Cole, Future, SZA, Kendrick Lamar and Jeremih we needn’t say any more.
Christina Aguilera – Liberation
Christina Aguilera returns boldly on her eighth debut album with collaborations with Demi Lovato, Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, GoldLink. The album is really fun, really dancey – but all the meanwhile rather real and personal from Christina.
