Nicki Minaj has delayed the release of her new album.

The Anaconda rapper will now unleash The Pinkprint on December 15, with the star previously revealing on Twitter that the disc would be available fromNovember 24.

[related]It is currently unknown why Nicki has pushed back the release.

The 2014 MTV EMA host recently likened her new LP to Jay-Z's iconic record The Blueprint, explaining that she wants to set a precedent for female rappers like Jigga did for the guys.

She said: "It's gonna feel so good and it will probably be one that female rappers will look to as a 'pink print' for years to come."

Fans are yet to see a confirmed tracklist for The Pinkprint, but it's thought previously released tunes Anaconda, Pills N Potions, Yasss Bish and Chi-Raq will all feature.

The Printprint serves as the follow-up to Nicki's No.1 album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which was released in 2012.
