Nicki Minaj: 'Music Business Is Like High School'
Super Bass star says she won't be a part of the popularity contest...
Nicki Minaj has compared the music industry to high school - describing it as a "popularity contest" that she wants no part of.
The Young Money rapper - who has [uuid=7896bae3-a70c-4f5a-bd30-f93c5158983d]Mariah Carey during their time on American Idol - told Teen Vogue: "People treat this business like it's high school.
"It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can't be bothered. I can't allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry."
Nicki added: "I can't be nice to someone just because they're hot right now. I can't do it."
Minaj - whose future on Idol is still uncertain - recently branded Carey "insecure and bitter" on Twitter after disagreeing with blogger Perez Hilton that MC had "burned" her on the show earlier this month.
