Nicki Minaj Shocked By Number 1 Your Love

Nicki Minaj has told MTV she was shocked to bag a number one hit with her track Your Love.
The song hit the Billboard Rap Chart topspot this week after it leaked online earlier this year.
Minaj became the first female to make number one on that countdown since Missy Elliot in 2002.

The Lil Wayne protégé told our US news team was pretty much forced to release the single.
“I was not planning on putting the song out at all,” she said. “But then I heard it one day, somebody told me it was online.
“And I was like, 'No way, no way in the world that song is out.' I went and listened to it and was really upset. It wasn't mixed, it wasn't finished, it wasn't anything — I wasn't gonna use it at all. But then radio started playing it."
“Isn't that crazy? Crazy. I don't even know how it feels [to have a #1 hit] right now. But it's amazing.”
Minaj is currently working on her debut album and will release it later this year. She’s already featured on songs by Christina Aguilera, Weezy and M.I.A.
