Getting young American males to stand to attention shouldn't be a problem now that Nicki Minaj has turned all patriotic in her latest photoshoot.

The busty rapper wears a stars-and-stripes vest and a denim baseball cap which is also adorned with the US-flag in the images from her session with controversial photographer Terry Richardson.

It's not clear whether she's wearing anything else at all, so we'll leave that bit to your imagination.

Sharing a snap of himself in his trademark lumberjack shirt, Richardson wrote: "Me and Nicki at my studio."

Minaj was recently impersonated by Brit pop star Sam Smith in a brilliant video.
