Nicki Minaj: 'The Pinkprint Is Very Authentic To Onika'

Nicki Minaj has opened up about her new album The Pinkprint, revealing it is "an emotional rollercoaster" and "very personal".
When asked about the disc, the Anaconda rapper said: "I would say it's an emotional rollercoaster that's what I think I could probably best describe it as."She went on: "It's not a reach at like Top 40 radio, that's what I love. It's very personal, it's just very authentic to Onika and that's all I'm really thinking about, you now, the authenticity of the album."
Minaj also revealed during an interview with V magazine that the LP has been inspired by Irish singer Enya, adding she hopes to inspire women with her material.
The 31-year old stated: "I love women who take control, who set standards and who believe in themselves enough to lead the way in terms of their career. I've done that.
"There are a lot of strong rappers who've influenced me a great deal in terms of my skill, my flow and my business-savvy side. But at the end of the day, I still want to inspire women."
The Pinkprint is due for release on December 15.
