Nicola Roberts Talks "Fun" First Solo Single

Nicola Roberts' bandmate Cheryl Cole may The X Factor USA job, but the flame-haired star is about to launch her own solo career with her first single, Girls Aloud pal, who is gearing up to release the track next month, has lifted the lid on her first solo venture, stating that the song is "different" to anything else her rivals are making in the charts.
Speaking about Beat Of My Drum, Roberts revealed: “It's a fun record. It was important my first single was different to anything else around."
The singer explained: "I love that it's a song everyone can sing and dance along to.”
As for Nicola's debut album - Cinderella's Eyes - the 25-year old, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé's producer Diplo on the record, admitted: "The album has a very British sound, that was important to me,”
“I co-wrote all of the songs on the record. The stories I tell in the album are things that have happened to me and life in general."
She added: "Some are happy, some songs are a little cheeky and one song is sad.”
Cinderella's Eyes is expected to be released later this Autumn. We can't wait...
