Nicole Scherzingerhas admitted that Simon Cowellwas so impressed with her stint filling in for Cheryl Cole on Pussycat Dollssinger said she initially thought she would fail miserably in the role. "I was like, 'I'm going to be a crummy judge,” she said. “I could empathise with those kids because I'd been in the same position.”

Instead, Nicole very nearly stole the show and even helped the X Factor boss put together the boyband One Direction from solo rejects. “I got to show Simon Cowell that I know what I'm talking about – and help him out a little," she recalled. "I was the angel on his shoulder. Joking aside, he's very inspiring. You want to be the best that you can around him, and that says a lot."

But she remained tightlipped on whether she had been The X Factor USA, despite Simon confirming he wants her for the role. "I don't know what's going on with it… everything's up in the air,” theLewis Hamiltonand said she felt guilty that her career took her away. "As much as I support Lewis, he sees other drivers' girls with them the whole time," she explained.

The busy star recently teamed up wtih50 Cent to shoot the video for their Right There collaboration.
