Nicole Scherzinger On Chatty Man - Sneak Preview
Scherzy sees the funny side of The X Factor with Alan Carr...
Nicole Scherzingerwill be seen sharing a laugh with TV presenter Alan Carron his Chatty Man talk show this evening.
The X Factor judge talks about the pain of rejecting contestants, the pressures of pop and learning Essex slang from Rylan Clark in her appearance on the show - which was filmed on Wednesday.
She even joins in a comedy sketch in which host Carr takes on the role of an amorous contestant on the show who falls foul of a new security system.
Talking about her hopefuls in this year's X Factor, Scherzy revealed that she'd had to push bookies' favourite Tamera Foster.
She said: "Well I always say so much potential in her, she's gorgeous, but what a lot of people didn't see on TV was that she was really messing up on her lyrics a lot, so it was kind of my way of, not tough love but just saying 'I need you to get it together, are you going to be able to pull it together for live shows?' and it was my way of kind of communicating with her to be like 'alright, let’s go'.
"And she pulled through, she did a great job, I was really proud of her. People don't realise, sometimes they think they're safe or they're people's favourite – not with me, I go in, it's got to be heart and soul, balls to the wall, you've got to be able to work really hard for it."
Discussing the increase in interest from male hopefuls now that she is a single woman, she revealed that she'd been picking up some Essex lingo from former contestant Rylan.
"Like I said earlier, #tots awk sitch – you guys know tots awk sitch right? Rylan taught me that. Totally awkward situation! I love it.
"But it's an awkward situation because you see them coming down and you're like 'oh, please don't make eye contact', so I start to look at the audience so they don't come to me, and I'm like 'everybody, look! Please don't come to me' and then they start grinding, and sometimes their breath is just.. hoooo."
Carr then reveals a custom-made security modification for the judging panel.
He told her: "It looks like the normal X Factor judges desk, but it's actually a maximum security anti-sex pest desk.
"Take a seat – I'm going to show you how it works, okay? I'm going to be one of those male contestants, and when you see me being inappropriate, press that red button. Keep pressing it, and I want you to see that men shouldn't approach you like that! You've got rights!"
He then sings "I wanna get freaky with you", prompting her to press the button - which activates a voice alarm and makes bars emerge in front of her and a net fall on top of him.
Chatty Man is on Channel 4 at 10pm tonight.
