Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about her split from Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, admitting she has experienced her share of "dark moments."

The 35-year-old X Factor judge had been dating Hamilton for five years before [uuid=fbc953bd-4869-43b0-b01d-30d04f4eb6b4]the pair split in the middle of this year[/uuid].

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, Scherzy said of the relationship breakdown: "I'm just like every other woman. I've had a blanket of tissues over me many a night and ordered a random, ginormous pizza for myself.

"In any relationship it's easy to lose yourself and it's important to come back to who you are."
