New Splatoon Clothing Is Coming To Miitomo & You Can Get It For Free
Here's how to get your Miitomo x Splatoon swag on just by tweeting!
Until now the wonderful world of Nintendo's Miitomo has been limited when it comes to personalising your character.
Now Ninty has announced it's going to start dishing out character clothes based on the insanely popular Wii U in-firing multiplayer game, Splatoon. The catch? You've got to tweet to get it free.
Nintendo has said that if it gets enough retweets and tweets with #Miitomo_Splatoon_RT then it'll dish out free Splatoon Inkling character wigs to its Mii characters first. The event runs until 29 May and will include Inkling shoes, shorts, t-shirts, hairstyles and colourful squid pins.
But that's not all. You can get hold of an ink tank, worn on the Mii character's back, by spending My Nintendo Platinum Points after completing Miitomo missions. This can already be used to buy Mario's hat in Miitomo, but until now other games weren't involved.
Miitomo, for those that aren't addicted yet, is a free app that lets you and your friends connect via virtual Mii characters to play mini games for points. The game lets you dress up your character, spending points won from those games, before snapping them in fun Miifotos.
