You Need To Watch Jimmy Fallon Play The Nintendo Switch In Its TV Debut
He goes nuts.
It’s not been long since Nintendo took the veil of its next console, the Switch. It’s also not long until Ninty reveals more official details at its event in January. To keep us going though it’s been shown off a bit more on TV.
Nintendo showed off the new Switch console on US talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The real action began as Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was shown off in-game. This was used to reveal just how the console lives up to its name by switching between big screen and mobile tablet mode. It appeared to be as good in tablet mode as it was in full home console mode, and easy to switch.
Not a massive amount of new details were revealed but there was a lot more gameplay shown off. Fallon also played the Super Mario Run mobile game while being guided through by its creator Shigeru Miyamoto.
While the Nintendo Switch is due for release in March 2017, Super Mario Run is due out on iOS and Android on 15 December.
What wasn’t mentioned was a release date for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Rumours suggest this won’t be ready in time for the console’s release but we’re still holding out hope.
