Nintendo Is Making A Zelda Smartphone Game

The follow up to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild sounds game-changing.

Nintendo’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s already pretty portable thanks to the pick-up-and-go Nintendo Switch console, but according to recent reports, it may be about to get even more portable...if rumours about a Zelda game for your mobile turn out to be true.

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, the new Zelda game is expected once the Animal Crossing mobile game has been released, which - after a delay - is now coming sometimes between the end of this year and April 2018.

What the game will be about - and what it costs, of course - remains to be seen, but given that Super Mario Run is free-to-start but eventually requires cash to unlock all the stages, it’s possible Nintendo will do the same for Zelda. And Mario’s not the only one who’s received the mobile treatment either, of course: there’s also Fire Emblem Heroes and the upcoming Animal Crossing game on the way, too.

Nintendo is not only intending on bringing a Zelda game to our mobile devices, though - there’s also rumours there’s another card-based Pokemon game on the cards, too. Question is: will it be as successful as augmented-reality hit Pokemon Go was?

Speaking of Zelda, did you know some Hyrule’s most iconic landmarks are based on real-life places?
