Blur Play For NME Awards
The band unexpectedly take to the stage at the indie ceremony
Thursday, February 26, 2009 - 10:34
Blur played live at the NME Awards last night in a surprise move.
The band- whove reformed to play dates this summer- took to the stage and performed classic track This Is A Low.
It was the first time Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn had been on the same stage together in nine years.
Ironically it was Blurs Britpop rivals Oasis who won Best British Band at the magazines awards.
Damon, Graham, Alex James and Dave Rowntree will play two Hyde Park gigs this June.
They are also confirmed for Oxegen festival in Ireland, T In The Park in Scotland and probably Glastonbury too.
