The NME Awards are never shy of making a statement and last night's 2017 show was no exception. Bands 4 Refugees, a supergroup featuring Charli XCX, Olly Alexander, Pixie Geldof performed to raise awareness and funds for the charity Help Refugees, M.I.A. called out the UK arms industry and over on the red carpet, the artists in attendance didn't shy away from us asking who their Villain Of The Year was.
See the likes of Charli XCX, Biffy Clyro, Dua Lipa, Wiley and more giving their opinions on who should have taken the award in today's MTV News playing above.
On the night, the actual Villain Of The Year award eventually went to the extremely deserving Nigel Farage, while the main winners on the night included Christine and the Queens who picked up two awards, Wiley, who was awarded the Outstanding Contribution To Music and Bastille who's Wild World scored Best Album.
