Kasabian. Jamie T and Royal Blood were all big winners at last night’s NME Awards, held at the 02 Academy Brixton (February 18).

The evening was hosted by Radio 1 DJ, Huw Stephens and attracted musical royalty with performances from Charli XCX, Royal Blood and more.

Jamie T took home three gongs with the Londoner winning Best Video, Best Track and Musical Moment Of The Year for his comeback.

Leicester lads, Kasabian were crowned Best British Band and beat Royal Blood to receive Best Album for 48:13.

The Brighton duo did not leave empty handed however after picking up Best Live Band and Best New Band following a live performance of ‘Figure It Out.’

Elsewhere, Harry Styles’ plans of a hat-trick for the Best Villain award were scrapped after UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, received the gong and stopped the One Direction star from making it three years in a row.

Aussie rockers, 5 Seconds Of Summer, chose not to accept their trophy in person after winning the not so glamorous Worst Band award, beating the likes of U2, The 1975 and 1D.
