Oasis won Best British Band at the NME Awards last night where they had seven nominations.

Despite all that the band didnt turn up and were reportedly booed by the crowd when they were announced.

The Killers won Best International Band while Kings Of Leon bagged Best Album for Only By The Night.

Pete(r) Doherty was named Best Solo Artist and MGMT got the gong for Bets Track for their Time To Pretend tune.

The Cure were named Godlike Geniuses.
