If you’re playing No Man’s Sky you’ll know how tough some rare items are to get so you’ll appreciate an exploit that’s just been discovered. But be quick as this’ll likely get fixed with a patch soon.

The exploit allows gamers to get rare items like Atlas Stones in around half an hour, where it should normally take about five hours. Normally some items take many steps to be created, especially high-level collectibles, this exploit cuts that down.

Here’s how you can take advantage of the exploit while it’s still there. Spoilers below...

Once you die in your ship No Man’s Sky will let you claim back your ship’s inventory. This is based on your grave marker location. A simple trick is to load a previous, earlier save. This not only brings you back with your old inventory but allows you to access the new grave point too - effectively doubling whatever you had at the time.

All you’ll need to bare in mind is that you’ll require enough free slots in your inventory to pick up the new gear. So if you’re after Atlas Stones, makes sure to have plenty of them in there so you can double them on reload.
