Fans Can Vote To Give Noah Centineo’s Character A Last Name In Sierra Burgess Is A Loser

But only for the potential sequel.

The writer of Netflix’s highly anticipated Sierra Burgess Is A Loser has announced that fans can now vote to give Noah Centineo’s character a last name, because she hasn’t given him one.

Lindsey Beer offered up the gift to fans after one person on Twitter asked what Noah’s last name would be in the film, as her extensive research left her with nothing.

The fan tweeted: “Hi! I'm so excited about the movie coming out!”

“I'm hoping to make a fanpage on twitter for the Jamey character and I was wondering if you could please tell me his last name? I can't find it anywhere in all the research I've done!!! Thank you!”

And Lindsey was quick to respond back, saying that she’s yet to give the character a surname, but is more than willing to let everyone else decide on it if Netflix greenlights a sequel.

We see what she’s doing here and we’re so down for this level of clever manipulation (mainly because we want a sequel already and the film hasn’t even dropped yet).

Creating buzz around the upcoming film, Shannon Purser, who plays Sierra Burgess, tweeted: “WhenSierra Burgesscomes out, you can vote to give @noahcent’s character Jamey a last name which would be used in the sequel!! (If @netflix gives us one).”

Noah retweeted Shannon’s post so he’s clearly down with the idea, and so are we.

There isn’t an official voting system in place yet as we’re assuming that’ll come about when the sequel is announced, but has that stopped fans from bombarding the writer with ideas?

‘Course not.

Now it’s off to the drawing board to decide what last name is fitting for a character we have no idea about yet. This could be difficult.

'Sierra Burgess Is A Loser drops on Netflix September 7 (this Friday, eek).'
