Noel: "Liam is an Icon"
It must be nearly Christmas - even the Gallaghers are spreading good cheer...
Watch Noel talking to Zane Lowe here...
They may have a dislike/detest kinda relationship most of the time, but Noel Gallagher has admitted his brother Liam is a true icon.
Speaking to MTV, the monobrowed rocker - who said recently he was going to get his younger bro a "straight jacket" for Christmas - admitted, "I guess if you think of the '90s, you think of Liam. I guess (he's) probably the biggest icon of the 90s."
He then went on to say none of the noughties' indie rockers have even come close to exhibiting the X Factor of his little bro.
"Kasabian have got some f*cking great tunes," he said. "The Kings Of Leon have got some good tunes. The Kooks have some good tunes. Franz Ferdinand, the Libertines, Babyshambes, but Im not sure whether there is one band (that stands out). In the 90s you had Oasis."
Being apart obviously does the Brothers Gallagher good.
Noel is currently preparing for a mini tour Of Australia with band mate Gem and says he's really enjoying it.
The super-strummer told us, "It wont be like an Oasis gig that anyone's ever been to before. It will be a gig for real Oasis fans because a lot of the songs only real hardcore fans will recognise. It seems to have gone down quite well around the world."
And we're sure your latest comments will go down very well with "your kid", Noel...
