'We Are Manchester' Benefit Concert Will Reopen Manchester Arena With Noel Gallagher And More
Hometown acts including Noel Gallagher, The Courteneers and Blossoms set to perform...
You put love in my head
I know, I know It's made of lead
Hello, hello
Science came, a kingdom reigned
Below, below my Charlemagne
And the river always flows, so if you go, I will know
By the rain, my Charlemagne
Hello, hello
My eyes, dryed, hide, cried, died
Beside the snow in the winter
Hello, hello
The doctors knew, prescribe me you
Below, below the amber sky
And the river always flows, so if you go, I will know
By the rain, my Charlemagne
And the river always flows tears of gold
Left me cold, do you feel the same, my Charlemagne?
My Charlemagne, my Charlemagne
My Charlemagne, my Charlemagne
Don't go
If only I could show you
Don't go
If only I could show you
Don't go
If only I could show you
Don't go
If only I could show you
And the river always flows, so if you go, I will know
By the rain, my Charlemagne
And the river always flows tears of gold
Left me cold, do you feel the same, my Charlemagne?

Manchester Arena will officially reopen its doors next month after being closed since the tragic terrorist attack on May 22.
The city’s biggest talents have been lined up to perform a benefit concert, ‘We Are Manchester’, on September 9th, including headliner Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Blossoms, The Courteneers and Risk Astley are confirmed performers, alongside Mancunian poet Tony Walsh and a pre-show DJ set from Clint Boon.
The ‘We Are Manchester’ benefit will raise funds for the Manchester Memorial Fund, going towards a permanent memorial that will be built to honour the victims of the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert.
“No one will ever forget the terrible events of 22 May but Manchester has reacted with love, solidarity and a determination to continue doing the things which make this such a vibrant city,” Sue Murphy, deputy leader of the Manchester City Council, says. “We welcome the re-opening of the Arena, a major venue which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, as a powerful symbol of this defiant and resilient spirit. It is entirely fitting that the re-opening event should be a memorial fundraiser."
The city’s defiance, resilience and heart was clear from the beginning, and demonstrated just two weeks after the attack when thousands came to support one another at the ‘One Love Manchester’ benefit put on by Ariana Grande, which raised over £13 million for the families of the 22 victims.
More acts are to be announced for ‘We Are Manchester’ and tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 9am on Ticketmaster.
We will always stand with Manchester. 🐝
