N.W.A. Biopic Cast Picture And Details Released

Grab your baseball caps and Air Jordans, because there's exciting news about the planned biopic of gangsta rap originators N.W.A.

The first picture of the key cast members has been released - with Ice Cube and Dr Dre posing alongside the actors who'll be portraying them in the movie - titled Straight Outta Compton.

O'Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell will be playing Ice Cube, Dr Dre and the late Eazy-E respectively.

And if you think Jackson is a good match for Ice Cube - it might be because he happens to be the rapper's real-life son.

Set in the now notorious Los Angeles neighbourhood of Compton in the mid-1980s, the film will relate the rise to fame of the group and the subsequent controversy caused by their explosive material.

It is set for cinema release in the US next August.
