Dancing With The Stars kicked off season 22 last night, and one celeb in particular is already leading the way.

Deaf model Nyle DiMarco's performance was the highlight of the show, as he danced quite the sexy Cha Cha with partner Peta Murgatoyd.

The winner of America's Next Top Model is a huge advocate for proving deafness is not a prohibitive disability, and a successful one at that.

He says he keeps rhythm by 'paying close attention to Murgatoyd's' and is actually a little shocked at his new found talent.

“I’m surprising myself that I actually can dance. Peta, my partner, was also surprised that I can dance,” he told People via an interpreter.

“I’m ready to take the world by storm and have them look at me and say, ‘deaf people can dance,'” he added.
