If Oasis Can Reform, Why Can’t These Seven Bands Do The Same?

If the Gallagher’s can put their differences aside, surely this lot can too...

The internet went into hyperdrive on Sunday (April 19),as it often does whenever the words ‘Oasis' and 'Reunion’ are mentioned in the same sentence.

That’s right, Britpop’s biggest sibling duo havereportedly reached a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ to reform the band next year, and for the first time ever,Noel Gallagherhasn’t slammed the rumour.

So with a number of bands cashing in their reunion cheque, here are sevenother bands, whowe think should ditch their animosity and play some shows...

Westlife

The Irish boy band disbanded in 2012 following their Farewell Tour and although only three years have passed, it feels like a lifetime ago.

The demand for tickets would be phenomenal should Nicky, Kian, Mark,Shane and even estranged member Brianreform the band, but with all fivemembers pursuing successful solo ventures, is it worth their while...yet?

The Smiths

[related]There is a light that never goes out, unless the light is a Smiths reunion – in which case, that light went out in 1987 when the band split.

It would take a lot more than Coachella going meat-free and David Cameron resigning as Prime Minister to get Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce in the same room together, following years of bad blood.

That said, did anyone see The Stone Roses 'third-coming'?

Destiny's Child

A Destiny’s Child reunion is one of the more likely conscious recoupling’s on this list. Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams performed at the 2013 Super Bowl and earlier this year, took to the stage toegtherin Las Vegas.

There is talk of a ten-year DCreunion tour, and if the rumours are true, expect the Internet to actually break for real this time.

JLS

Much like Westlife, the much-loved pop outfit and former X Factor stars only bid farewell in 2013, and the group are now going down slightly different routes.

Marvin is now a DJ, JB owns a dear farm, Aston is soon to make his solo comeback and''Oritse has reinvented himself as OWS and workedwith Pusha T -should he break America, will there be any turning back?

The White Stripes

Jack White has become a household name since ditching the band. These days,he's makingBlues-inspiredRock and Roll, running a record labeland championing TIDAL.

On the other hand, hisWhite Stripes bandmate, Meg White, has been very, very quiet...will Jack revive the band anytime soon? Give it a few more years, maybe…

Spice Girls

Similar toDestiny’s Child, the Spice Girls’ reunion doesn’t seem a million miles away, according to Emma Bunton that is.

Rumour has it, the band are planning to get back together in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single ‘Wannabe’.

Speaking to Now Magazineback in March, Baby Spice revealed there’s little holding them back: “It’s just when the timing is right because we have our own careers now and we have families, it’s just about getting five schedules together and that’s all it is.”

Led Zeppelin

What will it take to get Robert Plant and Jimmy Page back on stage together?

The rockers last reunion was in 2007, but eight years later;things aren’t looking that promising. Is one last outing of ‘Immigrant Song’ or ‘Kashmir’ really just too much to ask for?
