Noel Gallagher Mocks Liam's Olympics Appearance
Angry brother describes Liam's band as 'Stratford's finest Oasis tribute act'...
Noel Gallagher has mocked his estranged brother Liam's appearance at the Olympics closing ceremony.
Performing at an intimate War Child benefit gig at London's Dingwalls last night, Noel pointedly dedicated his own version of Oasis hit Wonderwall to "Stratford's finest Oasis tribute band".
Liam and his new band Beady Eye had performed Wonderwall, written by Noel, in the Olympic Stadium to a global audience of millions on Sunday night.
Noel, 45, also dedicated Oasis hit Supersonic to "the great Mo Farah", in recognition of the British runner's glorious triumphs in the 5,000m and 10,000m.
Unlike Girls Aloud though, Noel failed to do the Mobot.
Noel's set at the gig was mainly comprised of Oasis songs including Talk Tonight, Whatever, Half The World Away and Don't Look Back In Anger.
Noel has apparently turned down the opportunity to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
