Made In Chelsea’s Ollie Locke Allegedly Stabs A Crocodile To Death On Bear Grylls Show, Angers Animal Rights Groups
Ollie has taken part in The Island with Bear Grylls.
Animal rights groups are calling for Channel 4 to reconsider showing scenes shot for The Island with Bear Grylls, in which Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke allegedly stabbed a crocodile to death.
The survival show, which will see whether celebrities can survive on a remote island without mod cons for two weeks, is due to air in October as part of Stand Up To Cancer.

Animal rights campaigners are not happy with Ollie apparently killing a crocodile on the show, with one claiming the reality TV star wouldn’t know how to do it ‘humanely’.
Alan Knight from International Animal Rescue told The Sun: “I feel it is totally unacceptable to kill or abuse animals for entertainment.”
He went on to claim that the crocodile would have ‘suffered unnecessarily’ as Ollie would not have known how to kill the animal ‘humanely’, before asking Channel 4 to ‘reconsider’ airing the episode.

The channel have since responded, telling Digital Spy in a statement: “The premise of the series, in aid of Stand Up to Cancer, is to see if when stripped of all the conveniences of modern life, celebrities have what it takes to survive and feeding themselves is a fundamental part of this.
“Those on the island all received training on how to kill animals humanely and this was utilised properly in each instance.”
