Attention Olly Murs fans! The former X Factor contestant is getting his own one-off TV special later this autumn.

The 30-year-old Essex boy will be fronting A Night With Olly Murs for ITV, missing pop performances with pranks and a visit to a soap set.

Murs, who came to fame on The X Factor in 2009 and later presented spin-off show The Xtra Factor, commented: "I am so excited about doing my first TV special.

"It's going to be an amazing night. The show will be great fun, packed with off the wall comic segments, surprises and, of course, music."

And ITV's commissioning editor for entertainment, Peter Davey, added: "Olly has been one of The X Factor's biggest successes and we're delighted to welcome him back to ITV for his own special show."

He will perform familiar hits Dear Darlin’ and Heart Skips A Beat, along with newer songs from his most-recent Never Been Better.

The transmission date has not yet been revealed.
