Olly Murs: 'It's Not The Right Time For Rylan On Xtra Factor'
EXCLUSIVE! Singer thinks the role is a 'massive jump' for the CBB winner...
Speaking of his possible return to the ITV2 spin-off show, Murs once again [uuid=f3153090-da9a-4ad2-b654-f7dbd135b89c]Rylan Clark - who has already expressed interest in the role - taking his place next to Cazza, Olly was unsure whether his fellow Essex boy would be the best candidate at this present moment in time.
Murs said: "I think Rylan’s great but to be honest, I’m not sure it’s right for him to do The Xtra Factor this next year. I think he’d be brilliant at it, but I think if he does get offered the job, it would be great for him to kind of come away from The X Factor for a year.
"He’s got such a great personality to do something really incredible, of course, he’s already won Celebrity Big Brother but I think he’s such an amazing guy and we got on so well on the show and I think The Xtra Factor would be a massive jump for him in terms of his career right now."
Olly further explained: "It’s a big job, there’s a lot of pressure and I think for him at the moment, he needs to make a career for himself away from The X Factor for at least a year then come back. I think he definitely is a contender to do the show for sure, but it’s up to him really.
"It’s also up to Caroline of course, if she wants to do a duo thing again or wants to go it solo or whether she wants to do it again, you never know! There could be someone else who wants to jump in and do it."
The 28-year old added: "There’s going to be loads of different equations coming out in the next few months over who will jump in. It’s going to be interesting to see who they replace me with if I don't come back."
Olly's new single Army Of Two is due for release March 10.
